This site sets none. What your browser stores instead, and why there is no consent banner.

1. This site sets no cookies

Not one — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for “essential” purposes. Open the developer tools on any page here and look: the cookie list is empty.

There is no analytics service, no advertising network and no social media button on this site. Nothing follows you from one page to the next, and nothing reports back to anyone.

2. What the browser does store

Three things, all in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies, and all only after you do something that needs them. They stay on your device and are never sent anywhere on their own.

auth_token, user

Set after you sign in — keeps your session open and remembers your account name and address. Removed when you sign out.

helpful_votes

Set when you mark a review as helpful — prevents the same review from being counted more than once.

Clearing your browser's site data removes all three. You will be signed out, and the site will work exactly as before.

3. Why there is no consent banner

A banner asks permission for something. There is nothing here to permit: no tracking, no profiling, no third party receiving anything about you.

This page used to offer a preferences tool with switches for “Performance”, “Personalization” and “Marketing” cookies. None of those exist. The tool wrote your choice to local storage and nothing read it — using it was the only way to get anything stored in your browser at all. It is gone.

4. If this changes

Should the site ever set a cookie or bring in a third-party service, this page will say so before it happens, and consent will be asked where the law requires it. Questions in the meantime: write to us.
